Tried to go for a run this morning but gave up after a while and turned back as itwas too cold and made it difficult breathing, it must be that I am not acclimatised yet after Florida.

Back in the English countryside
Arrived back here in the little house on the prairie today, all seems ok and thanks farmer Joe for watching over the place, need to get back training again, but meanwhile have to work on posters which need doing.
Just a bit fed up with looking at the mutual admiration going on on Saifbook,or what was Facebook
so I shall give all the beautiful people a miss from here on in and stick to the Blog, which is less cringemaking.

February in Florida
Almost at the end of our visit to Florida, beginning to wonder if southern Europe might be a better proposition for escaping the English winter, though the weather has been good for us this year which is not always the case.
The unfettered capitalism of America is kind to money people but I would not recommend it to the less well off,the permanent fear of being bankrupted by a bout of ill health must be ever with them and makes our health service seem positively benign, which of course it is.
At the moment even the less sunny climes of Blighty don't seem all that bad even with our millionaire government looking to attack the working people by any means they can.
The television here is puerile in the extreme and apart from classics like Seinfeld and Raymond offer little to enthuse about, which of course once again makes me glad to live in England if only for the quality television.

Disappointments in life
The best laid schemes of mice and men gang aft agley,
And lea us nought but grief and pain for promised joy.( Robert Burns)
