Met up with a couple of retired Chicago/Irish cops in Woody's last night, had a discussion with Mike(fat cop)about the merits of pubs we had in common in Dublin,McDades on grafton street being just one of many,I can't remember the name of thin cop at the moment but he was also quiet cop.
This is about as near to an outback pub as we can manage down here, they buy big jugs of beer as it saves time re ordering, they call them pitchers, and after pouring the first glass put a plastic sealed bag of ice in the pitcher to keep the rest cool, clever idea hey?
Fish and chips was the grub on offer with regular or spicy fries, note how I slip into the local lingo regular(ordinary)and fries(chips) it's easy to learn a new language if you apply yourself.
Entertainment was a bloke doing blues and occasionaly picking up a trumpet and walking round the salubrious environs serenading the ladies and gentlemen therein.
