Oh the hot sun of Olde Englande!

Monday morning ,bright sunshine after rain during the night,on Sheilas blog yesterday she published a photo of hens in the mist, two hours later it was a hot sunny day and temps in the 80f,not a bit like Ireland,we are along with Norfolk the driest area of England, though I would trade for the hot sun of Kansas.
Pink walls are the choice of Gina for the spare bedroom in deepest Preston, not a good colour, white is much better, pink looks like bare plaster.
Three draws last weekend for the Blades,Owls and Millers, all three teams now play home games in Sheffield,Rotherham are whittling away at the points penalty imposed by the FA,it is now minus 7 points,so 2 wins and a draw will start the season proper.
Nights are drawing in and it is dark at 8pm,the hens are roosting around this time with the two little uns going in first.
Wheat has been harvested and bales of straw are creating patterns in the fields, poor farmers have worked into the early hours with floodlights on to beat the rain.
Home alone tonight as it is WI committee meeting,so I shall be chicken sitting,ie locking them in out of harms way from Reynard.
Winter sun is looking interesting but no one is willing to make a decision as to destinations, for fear of being blamed if it is awful.
It seems that Sandra the pom actually pays for her copper streaks! you can do them yourself with Wilkinson's diy hair dye,my silver streaks are very realistic looking.

I can't believe Rotherham now play in Sheffield. They might as well fold up shop and merge with Sheff W so they have a chance to compete with the mighty Blades.

We have had a week of oppresive gloom and humidity, was glad for the rain and the freshness that followed.
R/Ham are doing well it is a pity there is no money to back them up.
