Quacked it?

Checked on the ducklings and there are still seven,so no more missing at the moment, they are
swimming away and grubbing in the water protected by mother duck who quickly positioned herself between us.
Our hens are still sitting on eggs and who knows we may get a couple of tame ducks from the black hen who is blissfully unaware that she is sitting on two duck eggs.

Sometimes the pike wait until the babies grow a bit and then pull them under.

No pike the dyke supports frogs and minnows it is only at most 12 inch deep, could be crows, magpies,or the barn owl who flies up and down every day, though usually it gets mice.
