haymaking

So Sunday spent haymaking in the old fashioned way,for any farmers reading this blog,it was no way near as tiring as working in the pit.
We had over 80f all day so much water was taken on board, and Mrs Goose brought sandwiches and beer at midday, only yours truly went for the beer, totally out of character,I know, but the heat can play tricks with the elderly brain.
La Signora's birthday today, but a commitment was made and had to be fulfilled, she visited at midday with sustenance but we had already partaken of a light lunch.

This is real agricultural stuff,Mike Montana please note, not a bit of hobby gardening and a lot of complaining,I am at a loss to see where all the work is in the grounds of the Kansas Spread!!

The fish supper at the village hall was a little disappointing, especially as we did'nt win any of the prizes on offer.

That's all the exciting news from deepest lincolnshire.

You have to be joking. The flower bed at the side of the house opposite the garage was just covered in weeds. That took me an hour on its own. Weeds in the flower beds and paths and crabgrass on the lawn grow like wildfire in the summer if not kept in check.

Happy Birthday Sheila.
