Warnock's Warriors

Next year should be interesting for Yorkshire football with the Wednesday fans skulking in their moth eaten dredged from the depths of the wardrobe shirts, which only see the light of day on the rare occasions they find something to celebrate, next to top team in yorkshire Leeds Utd await them "Warnocks revenge" is imminent,
the moth balls will be back in use shortly and all the arrogance will fade away into the Owlerton gloom.
My other team the top team in Yorkshire have now gone home to the South Yorkshire capital,Rotherham to play in their purpose built New York Stadium, and who knows perhaps in a couple of seasons we shall be playing local derbies against the Wednesday if they havent gone into liquidation before then.
I hasten to add I am not a Wednesday hater, its just the arrogant supporters who grate on the nerves, in fact my Dad played a couple of games for Wednesday for 10 shillings a game and his tram fare from Rotherham before being offered terms at West Ham,and my cousin was on their books as a part time pro ,working in the coal mines all  week and playing at weekends.
All this of course was when it was a proper "casey" with a lace and a weight of about a ton when wet, with boots which could alternate as pit boots with hard toecaps and laced up to the ankle tops,to be able as a centre half  which was my dad's position,to head the ball halfway up the field was a feat of some magnitude and bravery, unlike the beach ball used today which every player can emulate that feat with no bravery required.
Ah well that little lot is off my chest and I shall now revert to the publishing of pictures in future blogs.

Another Emu

Another emu but I have altered the colouring digitally, we had a visit from Norman Whiteside who is a professional printer and he complimented me on the quality of the print folder I showed him but I am still not going to  show him how to iron his clothes.

Amazing what can happen to your legs with too much trudging through the desert sands of Arabia, which brother ate all the camel pies?

Topsy Turvy Down Under

Latest from OZ, I have just seen a photo of little (Arab) prince wearing a frock and a tea towel,,not a good idea down under specially in the outback with all them snakes,it looks a bit big to be one of his mothers in fact rumour has it that a circus tent has been stolen from the brisbane area,it seems he sold the horrible blue and white striped garment to a family of bedouins in Dubai who think the owl on it is a chicken, suddenly down under does'nt seem so desirable.
