All things must end

The much vaunted closing ceremony at a recent athletics event featured the spice girls and a glimpse of posh politicians and the windsor parasites jigging in the aisles there can be no better reason to decamp  to bed, after months of this hyperbole finally comes to an end.
It's enough to drive one into the self indulgence of the art world for sheer solace and to escape the feelings of jealousy over the unlimited riches these competitors  seem destined to rake in from their efforts, and all for a bit of rowing, biking ,running and jumping etc.. pretty much like the high paid minority of footballers plying their trade in our country, the real majority of players are in the lower leagues and are paid much more realistic wages and give far greater effort.

Clive James, Me,and the middle east

I seem to be in good company when I described the BBC olympic coverage as HYPERBOLE the critic Clive James is of the same opinion writing in todays Daily Telegraph, in fact the coverage may have led to a new phrase SUPER HYPERBOLE or excess as it used to be known.
After tomorrow we may have retained a true sense of priorities and actually cover other news stories such as Egypt, and the Syria conflict in which we now are told the British government has sided with the "rebels" and is giving them Five million quid however they tell us" It's not for spending on arms??" How will they know? and then they let slip that there are jihadists among this group who are getting cash from a government that is allegedly skint and can't provide money for health care for the elderly, there seems to be a hidden agenda here.

Do I need this brush to paint on falsebook

My adviser suggested we utilise falsebook as a way of introducing my genius to  a wider audience I brought a fairly large brush and some paint on a palette only to be informed they were not required as its all done by guesswork (well this seems to be my first impression anyway) I think maybe a certain IT expert of my aquaintance may be opted onto the  management of this voyage into unknown territory to retrieve the situation .

Sheila's birthday today

Sheila was opening her birthday cards this morning and I was a little disconcerted when she asked me"How old am I?"after we had worked out the answer  on our mutual fingers she then turned down the offer of a no expense spared  meal at chip alley in Skegness,so along with our pet hen "Survivor" we will celebrate as a triumvirate at the little house on the prairie.
